Let’s get together!

Spring Cleaning Weekend
This LPOA Board initiative is about offering the membership a convenient way to declutter our homes of unwanted items, and to easily donate appropriate items to charity.
This year’s recipient of our donations is Hamptons Community Outreach. HCO’s mission is to lift people out of poverty by meeting their most basic and critical needs, and by creating opportunities that change the life trajectories for our marginalized neighbors. To learn more, visit: https://hamptonscommunity-outreach.org.
There will be dumpsters provided by Mickey’s Carting located at 12 Masthead Lane (Katie Dunn’s home) to receive your items for disposal. And for your donation items, please simply place them in the designated area inside Katie’s garage. Members of the Board have volunteered to ensure items are picked up by HOC and/or delivered there.
Please note these important considerations:

We remain committed to keeping you well-informed as the project progresses and involving you in the assessment and definition of our plan of action for the beach stairs.

End of Summer Bonfire
With over 50 of our neighbors in attendance, we celebrated the end of another unforgettable Summer season with a heartwarming beach bonfire. We are thrilled to share some captivating images from this memorable evening.

Annual LPOA meeting
The Annual LPOA meeting took place on Saturday, June 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the home of Katie Dunn: 12 Masthead Ln.
For those of you who couldn’t join us at the Annual meeting, we are pleased to share a look back at what’s been accomplished over the past year and invite you to review the meeting minutes.

Start of Summer Bonfire
We gathered to celebrate the beginning of the 2023 Summer season with a bonfire at our Gardiner’s Bay Beach. The end of the Summer event, back in September 2022, was the first gathering organized by the new Board and was well received by the community. During that beautiful evening, the conversation and the fire kept going until way past sunset.
This second bonfire though has been the most well attended gathering so far, with over 65 neighbors - Thank you for coming, we loved seeing you all!

Spring Cleaning Event
With the arrival of Spring comes the perfect opportunity to give our homes a fresh new start! We invited all residents to our first neighborhood Spring cleaning event on May, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th.
This Board initiative was all about helping you declutter our homes, while also giving back to the community. The event was a huge success, with many of our neighbors seizing the opportunity to declutter their homes and donate or dispose of unnecessary items. As a result, we filled two 10-yard dumpsters, and collected a really huge amount of items for donation for the Veterans of Vietnam organization.
We were thrilled to see such a high level of participation. Based on the positive feedback and the impact on our community, the Board will consider organizing similar events in the future.

NW Harbor Walk organized by the EH Trails Preservation Society
This private event was organized for Landfall members and led by experienced volunteer guides from the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society, Stephen Rosen and Celia Paul.

Landfall Holiday Celebration
Last Saturday, the Board hosted the 2022 Holiday Cocktail Party at the beautiful home of Corry and Rene Barreveld. After a couple of years without indoor events due to the global pandemic, it felt great to be able to get together again to celebrate the Season.
The event was a sound success with over sixty neighbors in attendance, solidifying our renewed community spirit. The guests enjoyed delicious passed hors d’oeuvres from The Cookery, a female-owned bakery and catering shop located in the Springs. The amazing food was paired with red and white wines, a festive holiday cocktail, and non-alcoholic drink options.

Holiday Toy Drive
As it does every year, The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton asks local businesses and other community organizations to help collect toys for needy children as part of its annual Toys for Tots effort. The Landfall Board collected over forty five unwrapped toys at our annual Holiday Cocktail Party. As always, thank you for your generous support!

Thanksgiving Food Drive
In East Hampton, one of the most affluent communities in the world, many families need food. Those children, senior citizens, and individuals who can’t make ends meet, depend upon the East Hampton Food Pantry.
As in previous years, the Landfall Board Members organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive.

Fall Daffodil Planting
This year’s Daffodil Planting Event was really a great success! More than twenty five enthusiastic Landfall neighbors gathered at Board Member, Rita Gallagher’s home to socialize, enjoy hot beverages and snacks, and pick up the supplies.
The group then dispersed in teams, to complete the planting of more than 500 Daffodil bulbs in key designated areas throughout our community. The more experienced gardeners lended their knowledge to others, while novices picked up new skills! We can’t wait for next Spring to see all these flowers bloom for everyone to enjoy.
Participants returned afterwards to socialize and pick-up their Thank You gift - a beautiful burlap bag containing Daffodil bulbs to beautify their own homes. The Board is truly pleased with the level of engagement that we are noticing in each one of our neighborhood gatherings, and we are extremely grateful for your participation!

End of Summer Bonfire
On Sunday, September 4th, and with an amazing attendance of more than 45 of our neighbors, their children and several doggies, we celebrated the end of the 2022 Summer season with a bonfire and some delicious s’mores by the water.
The beautiful evening, the conversation and the fire kept going until way past sunset. Thank you so much to those who could join us for this fun and casual gathering . We hope to see you all at our next event.
Best,
Your Landfall Board Members.
Your feedback is important to us.
We would love to hear your recommendations and ideas for new events and socials activities that the Board can plan for our neighbors in the future. Also, please share your thoughts about any new community support projects that you would like the Board to consider. Thank you!
